About this Costume
Construction Details:
Naomi's Trauma Team business suit was kind of interesting to approach. After doing a couple mock-ups, I constructed her top out of black and red suiting, with all those weird inverted pleats that ended up just being 'strips' sewn together. The collar is reinforced with interfacing, and the jacket zips up the front. The pants were done with another pattern, and only go down to a bit past the top of the boots, which velcro together on the inside to keep the boots pulled all the way up. The accents on the boots were constructed and hand-attached onto an existing thigh-high pair. The Forensics cards were drawn/designed by me. Wig styled by myself.
Personal Thoughts:
It is KIND of ridiculous how much I love Naomi. I wanna kick myself when I think about how I avoided Forensics, playing Trauma Team, at first because it seemed slow compared to operations. Now, I have no idea if I'd like the game half as much without her. She's fierce, gorgeous, intelligent as all hell, and naive in the most endearing of ways. Straight-girl crush. 8[ I chose this version of Naomi since we got to see so much more of her personality, than in Second Opinion. Also, her design is awesome, even though those red pleats are ridiculous. I'm really excited to cosplay with the full Trauma Team, along with Little Guy and Alyssa. :)
