Construction Details:

The dress and cape are both moleskin and were the easiest part. Drafted them myself. This was my first attempt at armor--made from craft foam, sealed, spraypainted, and sealed again. The red details on the chestplate are a bit sloppy so I'll also be fixing that. The main thing is all the elastic and snaps I was holding it to me with fell apart because I was rushing it, so when I wore it, most of the armor was fashiontaped to my socks or dress, including the chestplate because the BACK of it kind of...fell apart. Will be remaking that, as well as the pauldron, and I'm going to fix and reinforce the attachments of basically everything. I have made the red gloves but they are not present in pictures I have up for the costume. I plan on remaking everything from scratch.

Personal Thoughts:

I did this for Chira's Synchronicity group at Yaoicon, which I was really excited for, and I need to fix a lot up, but I'll get to that. It was my first time working with craft foam for armor, and I know what I need to do differently next time. The sewing parts were fine for me, but that armor. So much running around screaming and punching things!! Thank you to everyone for putting up with my costume angst, haha
