Construction Details:

The headpiece was definitely the hardest part of this cosplay. I tried forever to figure out a way to make it from metal, but short of aluminum foil which was way too flimsy, I couldn't make that work. Finally, I cut up cardboard, colored it with silver Sharpies, and attached it with bobby pins. After that, the sword took the longest; I bought a foam G.I. Joe katana and colored it with gold paint and Sharpies, then coated the hilt in clear nail polish to keep the color from bleeding as much. The haori was cut and stitched by me, but the symbol was drawn by a friend.
