Construction Details:

Easy, I owned everything already. Safety-pinned-hemmed a dress I owned to the correct length (I feel bad for it, it's a pretty dress normally, it just had that sheer outer layer that I needed), threw on some granny panties, a spare camisole, and a belt, and put on my clunkiest sandals. Voila. The only thing that took any effort was cutting bangs into the wig.

Personal Thoughts:

Like most of America, liddo-chan and I were IMMENSELY DISAPPOINTED at Thursday's Project Runway finale. Mondo was robbed! I was discussing the results with a coworker on Friday morning, and I mentioned putting together a "Mondo homage" outfit for Halloween. Went home, and discovered I had nothing joyful or whimsical to be Mondo-esque. What I did have, unfortunately, was a lot of dull. It was entirely too easy to put together several outfits that could have been designed by Gretchen. God, I was depressed with that realization. Good design is supposed to be inspirational! I am the least fashionable person I know—no one should aspire to look as dull as I do on a day-to-day basis. But liddo-chan! She had everything needed to be Mondo. So we dressed at Yaoi-Con and Halloween as the hero and villain of Project Runway.TEAM MONDO!(Photo #4 was me trying to emulate Gretchen as she cried to the judges during that team challenge. Extremely flattering, isn't it? LOL.)
