I mocked the top and pants in spandex fabric I wasn't going to use for anything else. The top is made of a green holo that is shot with gold, so it looks really interesting in different light. The butterfly part is spandex over foam. I covered the top and heart with various rhinestones in a flattering array.
For the pants, I made a second mockup in muslin to figure out where I wanted the spider web stripes to go, figure out the spacing and so I would be able to cut it out and pattern it on silver holo spandex. The base of the pants is blue/black holo spandex. The silver is appliqued on, then stitched down, and the rhinestones affixed appropriately as seen in the art. The 'squares' were made out of foam covered in spandex and are snapped onto the pants.
The shoes were the same pair that I used for Johnny, so I was able to remove the covers and use them as a pattern. I did have to do a minor alteration since the bottoms are gold and the upper half is the same blue and black holo spandex I used for the pants. - Personal Thoughts:
- I wanted to cosplay Jolyne, badly, but wanted to make a more unique version that I haven't seen done before. The girl has a TON of outfits to choose from if you look, so why not? There's a piece of artwork by Araki where her outfit is studded in what looks like a ton of rhinestones, and so, my aptly named Rhinestone Ocean version came to be!

- Styling Notes
- I bought this wig off of eBay pre-styled, but had to re-secure one of the odango back in because it came to me 'hanging on by a thread'. I teased and cut the bangs to give them the correct length and volume and 'sealed' the odango with Got2B spray.
