Construction Details:

I made this costume for our Cosmode 24 feature shoot in November 2008! At the time I couldn't find her red & black plaid anywhere, so I had to hand paint the black stripes onto the fabric while making the skirt. I added wefts to back of the wig so that it could be styled, as well as added depth to the color with dye and sharpies. The yellow vest had to be carefully dyed to match the artwork (it started out a light cream color) and the pattern for the coat was a combination of frankensteined commercial patterns and lots of hand drafting. I made a scythe, but unfortunately it wasn't ready in time for the shoot. When it's all said and done I made this in two days with no sleep, but I love the way it turned out!
