This was a brainchild that I had sometime in 2008. Since there are always tons of the same characters from Kingdom Hearts at every con, I wanted to do something different. I came up with the idea of doing Lion Sora in the style of the Lion King on Broadway. About 8 months later, it was completed! I mixed the designs of Young Simba and Adult Simba, since Sora is a teenager. The headdress is made out of wonderflex, paperclay, upholstery foam for the spikes, and faux fur. It's painted with acrylics. Based off of Adult Simba's headdress. I painted my face with tan and gray Ben Nye Magicakes. It's supposed to look like the painting extends from my neck onto my bodysuit, which represents Sora's mane. Since he isn't fully grown, his mane isn't full, hence the incomplete triangle. The corset is a heavily modified Simplicity pattern. I basically ended up making the front the back and severely changing the shape. The white on the front represents a lion's underbelly. The pants are also a modified Simplicity pattern, but I added the flap. The red flap also represents a lion's underbelly. There is a tail made out of decorative cord in the colors of Sora's fur. The patch that hides the tail is painted with the charm Kairi gave Sora. The colors of Sora's fur are also reflected with the bodysuit, my hands, feet, and nails.
