Construction Details:

The skirt is about 4-5 yards of black bridal satin. The under bustle is also black bridal satin & the apron bustle is red brocade with black gathered lace. The hat is adorned with small ostrich & pheasant feathers, red & black roses & a 2 toned red & dark red ribbon.

The corset & black lace elbow gloves were purchased. The black suede victorian boots & the red & black jacket are actually a lucky thrift store find (I swear Richmond VA has the BEST thrift stores

Personal Thoughts:

I love this costume & have gotten a lot of chances to wear it. Originally, I made this costume for Victorian Night at a local goth club. Since then I've worn it to Dragoncon, AUSA's steampunk ball, Victorian Day at Maymont (a local park with a Victorian mansion onsite) & other steampunk & victorian events that have cropped up near me.
