As it turns out, I am a Terrible Anime Fan, and have never seen the original Evangelion. Well, I'm a terrible fan for other reasons, too, but that's a notable one. Anyway, when the new movies started coming out, I figured I would watch them - and I'm really enjoying them! And I like Mari! I decided to make the costume mostly because I can use my real hair, which is fun to do once in a while. It took a while to find the right plaid, but I love the one I ended up with. I want to wear this more and get more pictures!
