Construction Details:

Shirt was purchased from a thrift store; washed and bleached. Ruffles were purchased and sewn on, and the wig was a re-use from my original Fai costume. The pics I have up currently are my first, ten-minute venture in the outfit to attempt to surprise my Rise and Yukiko at Otakon...it was lulzy and yes, it did work. I SCORED SO MANY HOT STUDS. Newer photos to follow after I make some improvements to the costume and wear it to MangaNEXT. :)

Personal Thoughts:

When I first thought to cosplay Teddie, it was a spur-of-the-moment thing realizing I had most of him in my closet already. I was only about two-thirds of the way through the game then. As Otakon grew closer, I was determined to finish P4 beforehand so I could cosplay both Souji and Teddie with no qualms (and no fear of spoilers from people who recognized the characters!). And then I realized how much I freaking love this character. Teddie's one of the only characters to have made me cry in a work of fiction, without a sad event or some otherwise tear-jerking event helping him out. Just his little voice and those words, particularly in the scene in the Velvet Room during the December events of the game, hit me straight to the core. Part of me really wishes I had the know-how to create his actual bear form since that's how I really see him/his personality in my mind, but that's just not gonna happen, so here's my little cosplay of his human form.
