Construction Details:

This cosplay, or at least the components I needed, was thrown together in two days. The wig is the short base wig for my Utau wig. The shirt was made from white casa satin using a Simplicity pattern in a peasant blouse style. It's a tad bit short and kept coming untucked. The pants are made of black twill and were tapered a bit in the legs to give it a slightly narrow look (which is not very good with my pear shaped figure but seemed to have balanced out with the poofy shirt). I made the necklace from Swarovski crystals and gold-plated chain; the earrings - which you can't see - were also made by me from crystal and glass beads. The ring on my right hand is the official Howl ring purchased from the Ghibli Museum while the ring on the left hand is a simple silver band.

Personal Thoughts:

This was a quick costume made for an impromptu photoshoot in Greenville, SC. I plan to make pants specific for Howl since these were altered. I also plan to make his blue and pink diamond coat at one point. Though I am missing some pieces, I do enjoy wearing this cosplay as it's quick easy to throw on.
