This costume was made using two patterns-- one for the skirt and one for the top.
The top was made using a vintage pattern I inherited from my Great-Great Aunt. I modified the pattern to add the poofy sleeves. It was quite hard, but I found ideas on how to do it and make it look better on the internet.
The skirt had no modification and was actually the first time I made a pleated skirt with a pattern. Conveniently, it has pockets to store my office supplies when I need my hands free! My husband helped pleat the skirt because it was WAY too small (thanks to my scoliosis affecting my waist) so we had to change the pleat sizes.
I bought the wig off eBay and it was already colored and had the bangs cut. :D - Personal Thoughts:
- I really am happy with this costume. It was another one of those spur of the moment costumes (which are my favorites!
