Construction Details:

I made the dress out of pieces of this enormous, hideous old velvet nightgown I found at a thrift store for ~50cents. The lace was also pillaged from that. The design was painted on with fabric paint, and the collar and cuffs (Which I am sooo proud of myself for sewing and not making look like complete crap) are some shiny satin material. I made a black underskirt to go with it. The shoes were originally brown, I painted them gold and sewed on some pretty little scrap-booking do-dads the looked like buckles. Gloves were dyed.
