Construction Details:

The colors for Shippo's outfit seemed to vary from picture to picture so I went the darker ones to contrast the white undershirt and leaves as well as the wig. I decided not to make the tail huge as that would just look ridiculous and make my life complicated while walking around. Many cosplayers made fur feet, but that was driving way too far into furry town for me. Instead, I cropped the pants to make it look like my feet were longer. I also made the clothing baggier to appear smaller since I'm 10x taller than Shippo. Yes, I know the vest is supposed to be fur but I thought that would be way too much fur and just look tacky. So, I went with suede. It has a nice texture that's still soft and fluffy and still gives the dead animal vibe! =D

Personal Thoughts:

So me and a few friends decided to do Inuyasha costumes as a joke even though we don't particularly like the series. I wasn't sure which character to be so I took a vote via Twitter and Shippo won with a landslide. lol
