About this Costume
Construction Details:
For the skirt, I used two fabrics - peachskin, which I liked for its silky flowiness, and chiffon which I layered on top of that. I measured out my own circle skirt pattern, and hemmed each layer with a tight zig-zag stitch.

The over-dress is Casa Satin, and was modified from a prom dress pattern to include all the scallops. It's fully lined and the bodice area is boned since it's strapless and needed the structure and support to fit right. It zips up in the back.

I actually re-made the scalloped skirt portion of the purple part, since I wasn't completely happy with how it draped before. It is now a full circle skirt and flows much better with the underskirt, and a 3-hoop hoop skirt.

The shrug was also made by modifying a pattern, mainly to make the sleeves fuller and again, design those blasted scallops for the sleeves and collar. I used leftover brocade satin from my other Euphie dress for the shrug, and it's also fully lined. The maroon trim is velveteen ribbon, and all the flower buds were a lucky find in the 'discontinued flowers' section of AC Moore. Said flower buds were E6000'd into place.
Personal Thoughts:
Euphemia is one of my favorite anime characters, and I'm aiming to make more of her costumes since she's a character I'm so passionate about. As of now, I've cosplayed 3 different versions, so I'm on my way! Her default outfit is nice in that it's somewhat formal, but way more simple and easier to wear than her artbook gown. And since my friend Matt was equally gung-ho to cosplay as Knight Suzaku, it made me want to cosplay this variation even more!

Styling Notes
This is actually my second Euphy wig. The buns are the same from my first wig, but the actual wig needed replacing since the first one got soooo tangled. I ended up cutting and curling the bangs.
