Construction Details:

I'm not sure how I found this costume, or why I was so drawn to it. All I know is, I learned a LOT. I built my first mask from scratch (papier mache and Paperclay), used interfacing for the first time (how did I live without it??), made wefts for a gigantic wig, and found a fantastic contact who makes beautiful claws ("Big" Steve Ramos). I really feel like a living cartoon when I'm Cheshire. She's a big escape from the ordinary. Most wonderfully of all, I met George Perez, creator of the Teen Titans, in this outfit. He LOVED it. So, despite the blurry, green vision, painful scalp, heavy, immobile arms, and pointy, pointy shoes... it was more than worth it.
