My seamstress Jan made me this lovely costume for Anime Expo 2008. I selected and purchased all the fabric and trim, then it took us three tries to get it right. The skirt isn't exactly how I'd like it to be but I think we got it pretty close to how it should look. Unfortunately the shape of the bottom is off a bit because I had to safety-pin it to my thong so I wouldn't get a ticket for indecent exposure (again. Lol.) I beaded the headpiece myself and had Khamryn's mom Kellie reinforce it for me because I'm kind of dumb and used thread originally. Kellie is the coolest lady ever by the way, she also made my veil for me with the gorgeous fabric Khamryn chose for it. Once the beading was done as well as the veil, she tacked it all down to the wig for me so it would stay together. I created stencils for the stars, and then I commissioned them to be made out of resin by a store by my old house, called Plasticare. I got my purple circle lenses, the garters, and garter belts online. I sewed all the stars on the hood using a technique Kham's mom showed me. I bought the little gold beads that anchor them from her too. The hood itself is pretty neat. I bought some thick red wire and had Jan sew it in there to give the hood it's shape. Both the hood and the skirt are velvet lined with suede. The psyphers were made by Jake and fixed by Bill when I accidentally stepped on one, oops. Beading the elastic pearl hairties was done on the plane. I chose to wear heels instead of flats since I thought that it would translate better into real life that way, so I wore black velvet stilettos. Other than the shoes I'm pretty sure everything is as accurate as I can get it. To my wonderful friends in the Odin Sphere group - JoEllen, Diana, Khamryn, Shea, Courtney, as well as our little helpers Matt, Vanessa, large wounded hawk, killer bees, and everyone else who contributed - I love you guys! Best cosplay/con experience of my life! :)
