Construction Details:

I wanted to get as close to the manga version of Sailor Neptune as I could. I love all the details of her outfit in the manga: the earrings, choker, angled gloves, mirror, hair...

I made everything myself, except the wig and shoes which I was lucky enough to find in matching colors. I need to figure out how to curl a wig and make it stay. For some reason the curlers I used just seemed to make it straighter.

Figuring out the geometry to get the ribbons, sleeve cuffs and bows to work was the fun part. I love math! (maybe I'm really a Mercury? lol)

I bought the blue-green two tone fabric about three years ago "just in case" I ever decided to cosplay Neptune. OMG, I can't believe it worked out because there was literally no room for error, especially with a soldering iron involved. The original amount I bought was just enough to make this costume.

Outfit: Hmm, somewhere between 40-60 hours? I crammed so much in the last two weeks that I lost count.

Deep Aqua Mirror: Spent $18 on materials and over 50 hours carving the frame. That hole in the center? Whittled that all down by hand. No power tools involved, sadly.
