About this Costume
Construction Details:
This is one costume that looks more expensive than it actually is! Everything is made from sheet plastic and craft foam, spray and acrylic paint, cotton for the skirt and air dry clay for the crown. I originally wanted to make this costume like...two years ago but due to my own lack of armor making experience I tried and failed miserably....BUT since coming to Japan I have a new world of cosplay materials available to me so I gave it another try. I wore this costume to Tokyo Game Show 2010, which was a godsend because it was very hot that day and I was one of the few people NOT dying in their costume which is more than I can say for my husband who was cosplaying genesis with me.....(sorry kogasan24 I promise NEVER to make you wear that costume again in hot weather) I also wore this to a final fantasy gathering at an abandoned factory in akebane but I had lost alittle weight in between then and TGS that the torso carapace kept sliding off my body =P Not too mention I busted up my shoes pretty bad from the way I walk =/ Anyway I am glad that this costume turned out and I plan to keep it in my collection for a while since its such a nice costume to wear during the summer months.
