About this Costume
Construction Details:
Around the time that my family and I were going to Australia where I would be able to attend a convention in Sydney, I fell in love with Petshop of Horrors. Since this was my first convention out of the country, I wanted this costume to really stick out, but I also had to think about how little suitcase space I was going to have to pack it and how I had very little time to work on it. With that in mind, I chose T-chan ^^

Construction was, overall, pretty simple. I used some patterns for Arabian clothes for both the top and the pants, both which were easy to sew. I made the wristbands using belting. All the orange designs on the wristbands and the vest were drawn on with a Copic marker as I was in a rush. The horns were made out of fabric stuffed with stuffing to lessen the chance of them breaking. Half of a foam ball was glued to the bottom of the horns and attached to the wig using flower arrangement wires stabbed through the foam and the wig. Anklets, bracelets, and necklaces were bought at Claires, and I stole the sandals from my mom XD I was originally gonna do an open-chest bind, but my mom absolutely refused to let me do it -_- In the end, I compromised and wore a flesh-colored leotard underneath.

I had a blast in this costume. It was so comfortable to move in and required no fixing. I also had fun in competiting in the regular cosplay competition and watching the Madman Cosplay Championships. Very inspiring. I hope I can come back again!

Styling Notes
This was my first time styling a wig. I basically just cut the bangs and layered out the rest of the wig before attaching the horns on.
