About this Costume

Initially I reused the cuffs and neck collar from before, but I ended up making a new neck collar for this after a time. All the fabric is 4-way stretch cotton/spandex mixture. I used a 22 inch zipper, because with the 18 inch zipper from last time, I still had some trouble getting into the costume. I stitched the diamonds on more as an applique than I did before, and did so before closing the legs and arms of the costume. I fit the suit through the arms, waist and bust better than the first suit, which added a lot in my opinion. The legs on the suit were made extra-long so they go down my leg and actually into the shoe which makes it a lot more comfortable. I "cheated" with the gloves again (but don't care that much lol). I Frankensteined a pair of slippers from Kohl's for the shoes, and tore them apart so I could use the cushion and the sole of the shoe. The cushion did eventually wear out after about 4 or 5 long wearings, so I'm replacing it this year (2010) with a Dr. Scholl's sole. The cowl was constructed with shorter, much "perkier" tails, and I love the way it looks! I also made a gray bag to go with the costume, making it super easy to carry things around during the convention.
