About this Costume
Construction Details:
The pants and leotard were made from an altered body suit pattern. They were made out of a matte moleskin spandex. The hat is made out of the same spandex. Foamies and aluminum wire give the ears structure, the mask in front is made out of wonderflex that was covered in matching black spandex. The diamonds on the sleeves and pants were hand appliqued along with the circle cut outs on the thighs and the spade on the back. The collar and cuffs are made out of white pvc vinly to give it contrast against the white skin. There are foamies inside the cuffs to give them structure. The joker head decorations on the hat and collar are made out of model magic. The mask on the back is also made out of model magic, the teeth and eyes were painted with a gloss varnish to give them a "wet" look. The cupcake was made out of carved styrofoam. Paperclay was used to make the wrapper. Spackle mixed with acrylic paint made the icing for the cupcake, and the bomb on top is made of model magic.
Personal Thoughts:
I love the Ame-Comi designs and when I saw Harley's I just HAD to make it. It turns out this costume was super comfy, I think I will be wearing it a few more times =). I adore my little cupcake bomb, it is probably the main reason I made this costume. I hated the paint (Ben Nye) that I used for my face, next time I do this costume I will use a different paint.
