Construction Details:

This was my first costume in over 5 years. It had its challenging points specially since I felt like I had to relearn how to sew and use my sewing machine all over again. The hardest part definitely had to be the scythe. I had an awesome time with the boots to and I'm very happy how they came out as well as the wig. Though it may not look so awesome from the back the front gives the appearance I want it to and looks great for photo's. The scythe is made from wood,pink insulation foam and pvc are the base. Then covered in Bondo and paperclay. Lots of sanding,gluing and painting later I had a finished product. I like it however after the bondo it went from 5lbs to more like 15-20. Lesson learned there. Its heavy but gave me the texture I wanted and the safety of knowing it wont break when I took it to a large crowded con.
