Construction Details:

Miluda and I wanted to get into cosplay, and we thought it would be fun to do a paired cosplay to start with. She picked Touhou Project because she eats, sleeps, and breathes Touhou, and I picked Kaguya and Eirin because it's kind of scary how much we're like them in real life.

I used cotton twill, modified a Vogue shirt pattern and a McCall's skirt pattern, with a nurse's hat pattern from the wilds of the internet.

Before this, I'd taken a sewing class when I was a kid, but other than that the most sewing I could do is repair a tear or sew on a button. My mom was invaluable in looking over my shoulder as I sewed and helping me get this thing done. Overall I really like how this came out and how we looked together, especially for our first cosplay. It's a lot of fun to wear, especially when people recognize us and go "TASUKETE EIRIN!" or do the arm movement. That's always awesome.
