This small Summer BBQ was the brain child of Rosebud and anelasama! Anela's love for Hetalia is rather infectious, so when a BBQ with a Hetalia theme was planned, I figured it was time for me to step a tentative toe into the series. The costume was made with a lot of love!!! People were asked to wear an apron that represented their country, and casual clothes. I had many apron ideas so I made mine reversible. One side you have the red with white maple leafs falling into a pile. And the other is an NHL regulation hockey rink. It really is! Only ... its scaled down to fit on the 27-inch apron. An eight on an inch on the apron is about equal to 12-inches on the actual rink. Even the width of the lines are to scale. I spent so much time just crunching numbers to make sure that everything was correct. I'm very very proud of this. While I'm new to the series, you can believe that I put all my love into it! Here is to more Canada love in the future! Oh ... I even made an apron for Kumajirou! He totally out-cute-s me! XD
