Construction Details:

Oh this was a piece of work! I got into Kuro about 5 weeks before Otakon and since my friends were all doing it of course I wanted to join in. I also had to pick an ASIAN character in a manga about WHITE PEOPLE, go figure. I patterned it and cut all the pieces, finished the wig and props all before I left to study for a week. I picked a matte satin for the dress and this really soft suiting for the jacket. I came back from my week abroad to a 104 degree fever and aching joints, hopped up on a lot of antibiotics I don't really remember how I made this costume (badly I guess.) The wig is my old Lenalee wig, it just kept getting shorter and shorter! Thanks to Olivia for detailing my butterflies and balls, and Inuashley for spending a painstaking amount of time doing my makeup! And for trolling Naruto prom with me ;o

Personal Thoughts:

I legitimately thought I would die before I made it to Otakon '09 and I actually scratched out a will on my Ranka references pictures. I did make it to Otakon after all but I was 15 pounds lighter and only survived thanks to Dayquil and Starbucks.
