Construction Details:

The artwork/colors used in this series vary, so rather than choosing between pink or white fabric, I took white fabric and dyed it with a hint of pink. I also applied the same dye bath to the pvc boots so they would match. I took a chance on trying to color pvc with dye, but it worked. I had to make my own gloves, because I have such long arms that opera gloves don't go up high enough. The hat was actually super easy to pattern, which was the one thing I dreaded the most. I made the skirt about four inches too short in my haste and had to remake it. I originally was going to have the skirt zip up in the back, but decided against that, in favor of making it a wrap-around skirt. The bottom of the skirt has painted on waves, that were measured out and stenciled on first. The wig is heat resistant in the color cobalt blue. It was midlength so I had to style and trim it. The spiky curls were made with a 1" flat iron.
