Construction Details:

I don’t normally make entries about costumes I didn’t have a huge hand in construction, with the exception of some of my earlier costumes where kasou had helped out, but Rin is a different story. This was a gift constructed by Maridah, she had done the majority of the sewing–> stretch turtleneck with white emblem, and black pleated skirt were made by her.

I shaped the hem of the turtleneck to have the point and finished the bottom edge, I also shortened and hemmed the skirt myself. I bought a pair of shoes at goodwill, and had thigh-high’s on hand. The hair bows, were last-minute and were taken from thigh-high’s and they were pinned in place. I purchased the wig online, and was unsure about it. Rin’s hair color is a dark brown, and appears black at times, and i made the choice to go with a dark brown. Also deciding on how wavy of a wig to get was a difficult choice. The wig ended up being curlier than the stores image, and so the wig was brushed out. Looking back i really like the wig, just wish it was better quality!

Personal Thoughts:

TOHSAKA! Rin is awesome, and me and my bf have a huge love for her, and as a birthday present me and maridah went through and made a rin for me to wear. Not to mention we've been conspiring on saberXrin times and finally was able to get to!
