Construction Details:

This costume *made back in 2007* was the turning point in cosplay for me. It was the first time I felt so accomplished, and until this costume, I had never actually worked hard on a costume. I didn't really have a lot to work with, and this was before I knew how to use a sewing machine *actually it's more like I was afraid to use one* So everything was hand sewn. The shirt was made from an Egyptian cotton sheet *a cheap way for me to get fabric if I'm in a hurry and on a budget*
The duster was made from fabric that I bought on clearance at Joanns. The shorts were made from some sort of nylon stretch that looks like denim. And the boots were made primarily out of black electric tape and black leather. It took me a few days to make this I think? it was mainly constructed at the last minute, I remember finishing the final details about an hour before I had to leave for the con *I used to be notorious for doing that*

Personal Thoughts:

I made this costume in 2007 and only wore it to one convention. I've often flirted with the idea of wearing it again, and despite recent weight loss, I don't think I'll be wearing her again anytime soon. So for now, she's retired.
