This is actually the second version of the dress, as I wasn't really happy with my first attempt two years ago. It remains my favorite cosplay to date. The skirts ended up being too heavy for the petticoats so I had to replace them with sturdier hoopskirts, otherwise it's pretty easy to move around...(Read More) in. I used silk cotton for the purple layer, and plain cotton for the white. The only thing I regret is running out of fabric before making the belt :') The sword prop was made by Eric at www.holeintheground.com in record time, for which I'm thankful.
