Construction Details:

This was the first time I have ever made a pleated skirt from scratch. It was not too hard at all and I think turned out quite well. The sailor collar is what gave me the most trouble overall.

Personal Thoughts:

The sailor collar and custom dying the wig were a major pain in the neck. I had never made a sailor collar before, and could not find an easy to follow tutorial online. D:

How was the wig colored?

Red and Brown Sharpies + Rubbing Alcohol

Styling Notes

First off, the base wig (Tatiana) was cut into a shorter style. The two drawstring pigtail clips are also from Amphigory. I used red and brown sharpies broken up and added to a spray bottle with 70% rubbing alcohol. I then went to town getting a more perfect shade for the base wig and two drawstring clips. The first time I wore the wig, I was unhappy with how overly curly the drawstring clips still were, so I relaxed them with super hot water and that did the trick. You can actually spot the photos taken before I fixed the wig...they are pretty hard to miss, lol.
