Oh man, does this dress have a long story. But I'll try to make it short. So, TwiliteSea got this fantastic book, The Art of the Disney Princess, for Christmas last year. On page 165 is a picture by Kim Sage and Betty Wong of four of the princesses (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, and Belle) with their dresses restyled after the designs popular when the movies came out (ie 1937, 1950, etc.). Then Ambrosia went and photospamed her livejournal with pictures of this awesome cosplay group, one thing led to another and I found out that TwiliteSea had also created her own vintage designs for Ariel and Jasmine, and being that Ariel is my um, FAVORITE Disney princess ever I just HAD to make the dress. It took a combination of 3 patterns all altered to various degrees and something over 30 hours, but it is finally DONE and I love it :)
