About this Costume
Construction Details:

I wore this at AnimeNext although I didn’t have time to make the coat before then and finished it up for Otakon.

The coat took the most work and I spent about 3 weeks on it, as much time as all the other pieces combined. It's made of a matte purple satin with metallic brocade accents and a lavender taffeta lining. There's also about 10-11 yards of gold braid hand stitched to the coat as trim.

The vest is made of two brocades and is fully lined in the white one I used for trim and has matching fabric covered buttons.

The ruffly shirt is the same one that I use for my Ekaterina costume. I just made a new neckpiece to add to it for the cravat/bow.

The pants are the same satin as the jacket. I really wanted to do the pants and jacket in velvet but despite searching through a lot of stores, I could never find anything that was a good shade of purple and nice quality so I ended up settling for the satin.

I made my own stockings for this outfit since they were weird and looked like they were supposed to be fitted over the calves but looser at the top where they covered the hem of the pants.

Personal Thoughts:

Although I previously cosplayed Tamaki, I think I fit Kyoya much more personality-wise since I tend to be more serious in person.

The final episode costume was my favorite outfit of his and I wanted to make it extra fancy with brocades and such since the characters mentioned those costumes were supposed to be particularly elaborate.

Styling Notes
I did very little styling on this wig. I just trimmed the longer chin length pieces in front of the ears.
