Construction Details:

I remember deciding to make this the night before the gathering and was so excited to do it! I spent the whole night sewing on 15 yards of lace to the skirt itself. And the shirt was 10 separate pieces! It looks really plain, but it fits really well and it's quite nice up close. Anyway, history on the Mokonas! I have been cosplaying the Mokonas every year at Fanime for the last I-can't-even-remember-years with my other-half-Mokona Larg! And every time we make a Mokona outfit, it gets better'n better! This was our 2009 Mokona for Hakone Gardens NorCal Gathering. (March 2009)
