Construction Details:

I based this costume on an image my German friend sent me of historically accurate War of Austrian Succession uniforms for Hungarian soldiers. The front panel was red, and before there were color references to go from, I'd seen tons of fanarts of her with either green or red, and I always liked the red better with a creme uniform, so I used those colors. Then the anime happened and it was green on white, and I felt a little stupid, but oh, well. Jacket and breeches are made from suiting because I can't afford things so only the DESIGN is historically accurate. Waistcoat is shiny, gold brocade. It's fully lined, so it sucks to wear on hot days. Buttons I picked up in a few sizes from Hart's, and the gold braiding is just the standard stuff from Joann's. I wanted to add a little more sparkle, so I did. Hence the shiny waistcoat. Hat and gloves from a costume store. Boots are the same brown ones I always wear, same with the flower, and wig. The [unpictured] sword I bought, detailed with puffy paint, and painted with rub n buff.

Personal Thoughts:

I spent two months on this and it's my baby. <3 I wish I could've done this completely accurately but my finances were like, "BITCH, NO." I'm still really happy with the result.
