Construction Details:

I LOOOOOVE this old CLAMP manga that features Indian traditional dress! The sari silk is from India (which I then lined), and included a blouse piece that I used for the neckline/sleeve accents on the choli and the headpiece drape. The choli neckline also features bells. I made the necklace from an ugly Claire's piece by using Rub n Buff on it then adding the large ovals, gems, and dingles. The headpiece is plastic sheeting layered with foamy and Rub n Buffed. Then plastic half-spheres were painted metallic turquoise and glued on. I handsewed gold chain/beads/coins to the drape, then attached both pieces to a black headband along with gold tassels. I get to wear a lot of jingly bellydance jewelry with this...you can always hear me coming!
