Construction Details:

This costume has already been worked on quite a lot since its debut, mostly in me adding a whole bunch to the wig... The paws were made on commission by Cosplayer's Closet on ebay (and they made the ears and tail also for free). I'm redoing the paws to add hard polymer claws and to convert the bootcovers into a 'toesock' of sorts with a slipper bottom. The Wig is a Punky XL in the OLD Turquoise color styled back with lots of hairspray. After the costume's debut, I sewed a headband made of the same fur as the paws/tail directly into the hairline of the wig, added the bang in front and the 'whiskers' on the sides, both of which are strips of loose fiber that have been sprayed/sealed at the ends and sewn into the wig.

Personal Thoughts:

Currently on version 1.5. This is one of the more difficult costumes I've tackled and I'm still not happy with it. There will probably be some other work done to this costume (like fixing the bodice up, adding claws (which have been made but not yet sewn in), and redoing the entire feet portion) before I wear it again, so it's on something of a hiatus.

Styling Notes

The wig was added to after debut. The 'whiskers' and 'headband' are both sewn into the wig. The whiskers were strips of loose Light Blue fiber that I glued together with hairspray and then curled around hairspray cans. The bangs are more loose extensions, sewn into wefts, doubled over each other, and sewn into the inner lid of the 'headband'.
