Construction Details:

The hat was such a pain, and I'm going to remake it some day because it still bugs me. It was made from a torn-apart foam pirate hat from the Halloween season that POTC was big, and then covered in the same fabric that the dress is made from.

The dress is really simple- it's basically 3 big rectangles sewn together. I'm going to redo the straps to add the buckles at some point.

The armor is probably my favorite part of the costume- it's Crayola model magic, and at this point has been worn so many times that it has some nice 'wear' on it that makes it look more armor-like.

The shoes are custom Chuck's with 'LUV JOHNNY' embroidered down the heel.

The anchor is being remade as soon as I can get a hold of some good polystyrene foam-shaping tools and some time, but it's been decimated from several plane rides and con trips :(

Personal Thoughts:

May is the character that best fits in me in Guilty Gear, and it's a lot of fun to wear this costume. Alas, with my anchor busted and little time/space to build a new one, this costume is retired until the day comes to remake it...
