Construction Details:

This was made in about two weeks! I had to finish it for Sakura Matsuri but was at the same time working on it for my Costume Construction course. The fabric is cotton sateen and the pattern I used was a vintage 1988 pattern. The buttons were covered by myself and the yellow sheer I had lying around that worked perfectly! I used my own hair for this and added a clip-on extension because my hair isn't *that* long for Belle.

Personal Thoughts:

For Xmas,I got The Art of the Disney Princess,which is a GORGEOUS book and an absolute must-have for any Disney fan. I showed some friends pictures from the book and mentioned I wanted to do a group of the piece by Kim Sage and Betty Wong (pg 165). Luckily my closest friends love the princesses as much as I do and joined in a heartbeat! <3 It was fantastic being floofy princesses but in casual outfits and not full-on gowns. And as usual, the reactions from kids is absolutely wonderful. Belle's my absolute favorite princess and it was so wonderful to finally cosplay her. I doubt I'll ever make her full gown, but I'm so proud of this dress and I'm happy with just this!
