Construction Details:

This costume is a thread eater. I modified a strapless dress pattern for the pink overdress. The draping was achieved through many many trials and errors. The drape front, the bustle, and the big bow at the back are all removable to facilitate ironing. I drafted my own pattern for the white skirt. It's basically a long lolita skirt. The hat is made of craft fuse. My butler helped me attach the peonies to the hat using hot glue.

Personal Thoughts:

After walking the busy city streets and the convention centers (including up/down the escalators), the bottom tier of my dress is still 100% spotless. I think I have mastered moving around in the hoop dress!
