Construction Details:

2010: This costume was a lot of firsts for me. I dyed fabric for the first time and it was also my first pair of pants from scratch. I didn't use any pre-existing patterns, the sweatshirt, pants, and leg accessory were drafted and made purely by me. yay! (the mesh undershirt and leaf headband were purchased items) The shoes were some ugly sandals that I painted first with acrylics and then fabric paint.

2011: I didn't need a wig the first time around, and this time I still had black hair but no bangs. Thanks to Arda Wigs- their clip in bangs are the best!!

I washed the sweatshirt fabric a couple times after I dyed it before sewing it all together, so in 2011 I decided to wash the sweatshirt... and it bled. Unfortunately without going back in and ripping out the white fabric areas, this costume is probably done for.

Personal Thoughts:

I never in a MILLION years thought I would cosplay Naruto. Not gunna lie, some of the fans at cons scare me.
