About this Costume
Construction Details:
I love Adiane to death, she's my favorite TTGL villain. The dress was made out of cotton sateen and an evening gown pattern was used for the base of the dress with kimono sleeves attached to it. The trimming was a find at Joanns and as for the details the butterfly designs on the sleeves were heat-n-bonded on while the butterflies at the bottom were painted on. As for the tail I used styrofoam balls as a base. Then, I used a lot of gesso to smooth it over and to give it durability. I gave them about 5 + layers. Afterwards I sanded all of them down and then gessoed for about 2 more layers then sanded it one last time. I then painted all of them then gave it a sealant on top then strung them together with fishing wire. To attach the tail to myself, I used made a belt that synced my waist. Since the tail was strung together by fishing wire I wrapped the fishing wire around the belt a couple of times then glued it on for extra security. Tattoos paint was an alcohol based body paint.
