About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
This costume was such a fun project. Katetriss and I collaborated on Eternal Sailor Moon and Eternal Sailor Venus and split up the work to what we were good at, and also so that construction would be exactly identical. The leotard is made of a stretch cotton lycra with croch snaps. The skirts are made of duchess satin and sewn in loose box pleats in a circle skirt for the flouncy shape. The edges of all of the skirts are rolled hemmed. The sleeves are also made of duchess satin, with the inside seams serged and then sewn onto the leotard. The glove toppers and the sleeve bottoms are sewn around upholstery cording and attached to the gloves/sleeves. All accessories were resin cast, including the giant heart in the middle of my brooch. The boots were cut into shape and vinyl trim was sewn around the outside. All in all I love this costume. It is so cleanly made and I am really proud of how it turned out. **The wings in photos one and two are made by ETARU!** I made wings myself for this costume, but shipping them out to the con was going to cost $135 so Lada kindly let me borrow hers. I will be doing a shoot with my own wings within the next two weeks!
- Personal Thoughts:
- Eternal Sailor Moon is my most favorite character design out of all of her forms. It is so flouncy and colorful. I have made this costume twice before, but honestly I forsee myself remaking it many times over until I have gotten as close to the design as I can!
