Construction Details:

The costume is based off of an art image of Midorin and Taiga in purple bunny suits. I decided after making sub-par bunny suits for the past few years, that I really wanted to make a very nice one. I studied for hours looking up information on existing bunny suits and finding as many photos as I could of the Playboy bunny suits. Using the sloper that Kairi-G made for me, I drafted a pattern and Dia fit it onto me. That's where the journey began x.X It took me a little over 20 hours to complete this bunny suit. I sew really fast so 20 hours is a long time for me. The suit is comprised of three section. 1. Satin (4 pieces of boning) 2. a thick, heavy interfacing (10 pieces of boning) and 3. a cotton lining. The hems are bias tape hems hand sewn inside to prevent hem lines. There are 14 pieces of boning total which are consisting of 4 steel stays and 10 spiral steel. It looks so simple, yet so much work went into it. I plan on making a few more for various other costumes and will perfect it more and more.
