Construction Details:

Welcome to cheap garbage costume land. I made this thing in about two days with less than $20 of material. The sweater is an old Goodwill sweater cut up for the red parts, the blue is discount fleece, and the white stripes are bias tape made from white jersey knit. The hat is some cheap blue cotton on the outside, some white twill left over from an old costume on the inside, some fabric left over from my Edward Elric jacket for the "arrow", and bias tape for the white lines. The dots are whiteout because I am secretly super ghetto; it just doesn't often show on my costumes. I got the gun from my friend Rico.

Personal Thoughts:

At the same time I really love this costume and I really hate it. Mista has always been my runaway favorite from part 5, but I look absolutely nothing like him (and I'm super short) so I'd always decided not to cosplay him since I'd look stupid. Eventually I realized that screw it, Mista himself looks stupid, so I may as well go for it. Is the costume fantastic? Not really; it's one of my worse pieces. Did I have THE TIME OF MY LIFE? Oh yes I did. It was like my early days of cosplay when I ran around in bad outfits looking terrible but I didn't care because I was dressed as one of my favorite characters and I was having a blast. So thank you, Mista, for helping me recapture some of the magic.
