Construction Details:

This costume was my second cosplay. I ordered it as a commission originally but heavily altered the inaccurate outfit I was sent. I shortened the skirt by 2-3 inches and adjusted the waistband. The original blouse didn't show off the shoulders so I modified it into a halter top and added a zipper on the side.

For the black skirt, I bought a skirt-swimsuit bottom from Wal-Mart.

For the chain-mesh elbow pad-things I used the all ready cut off arms of my sister's Gaara genin fish-net shirt, and hand hemmed them.

For her leg mesh on the thighs and knees, I bought fish-net nylons and butchered them into shorts and used the middle for the knees. I added elastic to the edges. For the ones on the knees I have to stick double-sided tape to my knees to keep them up.

For the ninja sandals I used a tutorial. They're just like the blue ones for Genin Ino outfit, but black.

I bought my hair clip and earrings at Claire's and my ninja holster and kunai are from Toys-n-joys.

Personal Thoughts:

My favorite memory of this cosplay is dressing up with my team! I had so much fun walking around the convention and going to the Naruto gathering together. We all tried to stay in character and met so many people who were so excited to see Team 10!
I also had a blast at the Naruto gathering of Anime Expo 2007 where I went to karaoke with many fellow ninja. Thank you Sai for singing "You're so Beautiful" to me!
