Construction Details:

This costume started with a little black dress that I found. I immediately thought "this would be a great Miku dress". So I added a brooch to it and worked on the wig and headphones for it. For the wig I used 2 wigs. One which I cut in the middle and made pig tails out of. I sewed them to the other wig (that I had already cut and added more wefts to make it look fuller). For the headphones I used an existing pair as a base. I made the design in Photoshop and printed it out and then glued it onto foam pieces that I put on the sides of the headphones. I made the wings out of cardstock over foamies. I decorated the headphones with faux pearls and made a fake microphone from the cord that I had cut.

Personal Thoughts:

Because I used materials I had, I didn't have as much freedom to make the headphones look like I wanted to. I am considering remaking the butterfly wings out of plastic, so it has a softer look. Not to mention they would be much more durable.
