Construction Details:

Shirt is (I think) a rough-hewn cotton painted with acrylic paint. Pants are courtesy of Goodwill and boots are the ones I use for everything ever, lol. The Witching Cloak is blue upholstery suede and lined with casa organza that has these little gold dots on it to make it magical. The belt is made of a brown garment suede and interfaced with cotton duck for stiffness and strength. Old (now out of print) Butterick and Simplicity patterns used for the shirt and the cloak, though altered to fit my shortness.

Personal Thoughts:

This would only have been a two on the difficulty scale if it wasn't for the organza. I HATE SEWING ORGANZA. Ugh. It came out gorgeously though. I'm so happy with this cloak; it's definitely my favorite part of the costume. Scratch that, -any- costume I've made. I had doubts about the suede while I was sewing it since it's so stiff, but I like how it keeps its shape nicely so thumbs up for that. Also super!love to Ellome, Chira, WindoftheStars, DarkenedWings, and ImpureImpulse for all the makeup help. (especially Ellome for actually -doing- my make up for the Snotoshoot, lol)
