About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
This was a very time consuming project. I didn't finish it for the NYAF competition, but later finished it for Katsu. It was one of the most time consuming projects I've ever had. Cottons and poly blends. The white cording is all handsewn as well as the lining. The gold designs on the obi are appliqued. The pendant is model magic and also has the mirror on the other side. Vartan/Paul made the shoes. Monoyasha scuplted the ears. As for the box, it was my first real endevour into a massive prop which Chris was a HUGE help on. Each drawer is functional, as well as the top. It is made from insulation foam and covered with contact paper. Hee hee... I used a saw!! That should never happen!
- Personal Thoughts:
- It's hands down one of my fave animes. I love wearing it and get super excited when people actually know who I'm dressed as. At NYAF I dreaded the costume since it wasn't finished, but now I'm quite happy since it is all done.
