Construction Details:

This was interesting because none of the shapes of the costume pieces could be found in a premade pattern. The coat, sleeves, and ascot was made without a pattern. The coat and sleeves - Made from a white suiting fabric and lavender bias used for the edging. The coat is fully lined. The straps are just fabric belt material and it require contortionist movement to get INTO the jacket because the straps do not detatch. o.o -Pants are a simple pattern, the shirt pattern was altered and I used a rolled hem on the bottom so I didn't have to line it (I was already going to be hot enough wearing this in may/july. The shirt has a pleated collar to make it stand up and give it the look of the reference pics. -__- -The ascot is made from silk and has lace trim on the ends, which was sewed on the inside and then flipped so you don't see any stitch on the outside. -The sword was a basic samurai sword I bought online and then I took some model magic, wood paste, and paint to make the extra shape on the end of the hilt. Then I painted the outiside black and the blade silver. -The shoes were rainboots which I cut down the front. I added elastic across the front and two types of bias around the edged. All the edging is glued on. I painted the sole black and I had to put about five layers of inserts in the shoes to get my foot higher up so they STAY ON when I walk. O.o
